What is the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival?

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is basically Disney’s excuse to turn the park into the world’s biggest snack crawl, and we are not complaining. Running annually from late summer into fall, the event transforms World Showcase and beyond into a global tasting tour, with dozens of food and beverage booths representing countries, cuisines, and culinary creativity. Alongside the eats, guests enjoy live music. If you’ve ever dreamed of eating your way around the world in a single day, without needing an extra passport, this is the event for you.

Pro tip: Come hungry, and maybe wear stretchy pants. The festival usually runs through November 22, giving plenty of time to taste-test your way to happiness.

When it comes to adventurous bites at Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival, Morocco often delivers something flavorful and unique. This year, the Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina booth is serving up a Moroccan Wrap with tomato-cucumber relish and garlic sauce on warm Moroccan flatbread, and we had to give it a try. Guests can pick their protein: Chermoula Chicken, Moroccan-spiced Lamb, or Plant-based Falafel. We opted for the lamb version, and here’s the breakdown.

Spotlight on Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina

Located in the Morocco pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina has a name that makes first-timers do a double-take. Yes, it’s spelled “Tangierine” with an extra “i,” a playful nod to Tangier, Morocco, not the citrus fruit you toss into your kid’s lunchbox. So when you say it, think “Tan-jeer-een,” not “tan-juh-reen.” You’re welcome.

Tangierine Café has long been a guest favorite for fresh Mediterranean flavors, and during festivals, it transforms into one of the most reliable booths for unique, spiced offerings. Expect dishes featuring lamb, chicken, falafel, couscous, and refreshing beverages like pomegranate and sangria blends. The location itself is tucked into one of the most gorgeous sections of the World Showcase, making it the perfect backdrop for savoring your festival finds. Between the architecture, the aroma of spices, and the vibrant food options, Tangierine Café is a feast for all the senses.

Moroccan Wrap Epcot Food and Wine: The Flavor

The lamb was well-seasoned, bringing in bold Moroccan spices that paired beautifully with the refreshing tomato-cucumber relish. Unfortunately, the lamb was a little on the dry side, but the vegetables and garlic sauce helped balance it out. The relish added a much-needed brightness that made this a lighter festival item compared to the many heavier, richer dishes Epcot is famous for.

Moroccan Wrap Epcot Food and Wine: The Bread Factor

Here’s where things get tricky. The Moroccan flatbread was an interesting base, but it may not meet every guest’s expectations. Our portion had a nice texture, but based on chats with trusted foodie colleagues, consistency seems to be a problem. Some felt the bread was just average—or even below average. If you order this later in the festival, your mileage may vary. Consider yourself warned.

Moroccan Wrap Epcot Food and Wine: Value & Portion

At $6.25, the Moroccan Wrap is fairly priced for Epcot standards. The portion size is solid, with plenty of ingredients to make this a satisfying, snackable festival option. While not a must-have, it’s a good pick if you want something flavorful, refreshing, and less heavy than other offerings.
