Celebrity Cruises, known for its ocean voyages, is expanding into a new venture: river cruises. The company recently announced the launch of Celebrity River Cruises, with Priority Booking Access for 2027 sailings beginning on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
According to a press release, guests can secure early access to itineraries and stateroom details by placing a fully refundable $500 deposit. The new river cruise line will sail on Europe’s Danube and Rhine rivers, utilizing a fleet of ships inspired by the design and sophistication of the company’s Edge Series ocean ships.

“We are excited to offer guests the chance to experience the first-ever Celebrity River Cruises vacations in 2027 with Priority Booking Access,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Guests will enjoy the warm hospitality Celebrity is known for, on innovative ships, with land experiences unlike any other, as we set sail on Europe’s iconic Danube and Rhine rivers.”
The fares will be inclusive of meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, onboard experiences, and one shore excursion per day. Guests will also have the option to add pre- or post-cruise stays in Prague and Budapest, which will be available for booking in 2026. The new offering is an expansion of the Celebrity brand, bringing its service-first approach to river cruising. The ships are designed to provide 360-degree views. This aims to fully immerse guests in their journey through historic and culturally significant cities.
