Start your day with popular breakfast dishes, like eggs, Mickey waffles, sausage, donuts and more. At lunch and dinner, stop by for savory burgers, sandwiches and flatbreads. Beer and wine are also available.
For our first food review, we headed to the newly updated Roaring Fork quick service spot at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
We stopped by for dinner, which offers some sandwiches, a burger and a few different flatbreads. It has a small dining area indoors, but there is plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is right, or just get it to go and head back to your room. We settled on the Brisket Burger and the Gourmet Grilled Cheese, both were served with classic tator tots.
Brisket Burger with Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, Cranberry Barbecue Sauce, Cast Iron Onions, and Apple Frisée on a Sweet Brioche Bun - $13.49
I enjoyed this a lot, it had a great combination of flavors and was a great size. The burger had a good crust like it was cooked on a griddle and while the brisket, which was thin sliced and placed on top, was tender, it didn’t offer any smoke flavor, that would have been nice touch. The only real downfall to this burger was the floppy bacon, I personally prefer mine crisp!
Gourmet Grilled Cheese with White Cheddar, Arugula, Tomato, and Onion Jam on Multigrain Bread – $9.99
This sandwich was HUGE! For $9.99 it was one of the best deals we had on our trip. The combination of the cheddar, and multigrain bread would have been good enough, but the arugula added a nice peppery flavor and the onion jam was, well, THE JAM!
And who doesn’t love tator tots? Even though they are straight from the freezer like you’d buy at your local grocery store, we still loved them.
Overall this is a great choice for a quick service, it is well priced and filling if you are staying on site. I certainly wouldn’t travel from another resort to eat here, but as long as you are in the area, this is the place to go.
